I had taken a home loan from PNB, but I was not satisfied with their repayment process, and thus, I decided to transfer my Home Loan to SBI. I called the SBI customer support number and asked them about the process of how to transfer Home loan from PNB to SBI. The executive explained the whole process to me.

What is the Process of Home Loan Transfer from PNB to SBI?

He told me that I needed to send an application for a loan transfer to my current bank, PNB. According to him, the transfer will only go through when PNB issues a NOC. The whole process of home loan transfer from PNB housing to SBI has been explained in detail by Fedrick. However, I can sum up the whole process for you.

  • Send a loan transfer application to PNB and collect a NOC from them.

  • Submit the NOC to SBI and request for loan transfer and to clean outstanding debt with PNB.

  • Obtain written confirmation from PNB about loan closure.

The executive also told me about the documents that I need to provide, and those are

  • Application & Assets & Liability form duly filed with 2 photographs of each applicant.

  • Proof of identity (PAN card)

  • Proof of Residence (Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID Card/ Aadhar card)

  • SBI Account is compulsory for Home Loan.

  • Last 3 months Salary slip

  • Last 6 mont Bank statement.

  •  Form 16 - last 2 years (Part A & B

And that is all that the executive told me about the home loan transfer process. I hope this helps.
