Documents such as an Aadhar card, sales deed, tax payment receipts, encumbrance certificate, previous owner's khata certificate, and occupational certificate are required for the online process. • We visited the

    Citizen Services

    portal

  • Clicked on the “Online Khata Transfer” option under the Khata certificate

  • Created an account by entering the name, gender, email ID, and phone number

  • Followed by clicking the “Online application form”

  • We filled in the form with all the necessary information (service requested, applicant type, and name of previous owner).

  • Entered the name exactly as it appears on the Aadhar card.

  • Checked the Allotment number

  • Verify PID/KHATA No.

  • Selected SAS Zone and ward Number

  • Entered address as in the sale deed

  • Selected the property type, and property status

  • Provided Mobile No and Email ID, and got the reference ID.

  • Now, we uploaded the specified papers (EU certificate, tax receipt for the latest year, and sales deed).

  • Clicked on the submit button

The Aadhar number was requested on the following page so that the application can be submitted. After paying the khata transfer fee—2% on the value of stamp duty of the sale deed—she was able to receive the hard copy from the BBMP centre in about a month.
