How To Transfer Pension Contribution In EPF?

When I joined my company I was clearly told about the contribution that is to be made or deducted from my salary for my EPF account and things were very clear to me. But recently I was planning to change my company so asked my father can the EPF account be changed easily? He said yes so I had nothing to worry about at all. But after some time my father said that I do not know How to transfer pension contribution in EPF so it is better to ask people about it and then only change your company thinking of the future. The pension contribution in EPF is the amount deposited by the employer every month in the EPS amount of the employee. 

You must be knowing that the employer contributes 12% of the employee’s basic salary to their PF account. 3.6% goes to the PF account of the employee and the rest, that is 8.33% gets deposited in the employee's account. This is considered as a pension fund of the employee.

How to how to transfer pension contribution in EPF online?

I talked about the transfer of pension contributions in EPF with a lot of people and got to know that the PF amount only gets transferred but none of them actually knows where they keep the pension amount. But later a senior man said that if a person’s service is more than 10 years in the company, the pension fund is retained by the EPFO. In lieu of that retained amount, the EPFO issues a pension certificate to the member which is submitted when the person gets retired. 

Also remember that if a person has been working in a company for 9 years 6 months, it will be considered as 10 years only.

So to get the pension fund, all you have to do is just submit the form 10D or form 20 to your EPF office. To submits these forms,

• Sign in to the UAN member portal

• Click on Online Services

• Click on the forms and provide details

The best part is, if a person is not eligible to fill it, he will be shown in red .

How to transfer pension amount in EPFO?

Here is how you need to transfer the pension amount from the previous employer to the current one-

• Login to your

  EPF

  portal using your credentials.

• Go to Online Services.

• Click on One Member- One EPF Account (Transfer Request).

• Verify your PF details.

• Click on Get Details.

• Choose your previous/current employer.

• Click on Get OTP and get the OTP on your registered number.

• Enter the OTP.

• Click on Submit.

• Get the filled-in PF transfer request form.

• Self-attest and submit the PDF to your selected employer, and let him/her approve it.
