When I noticed a few loose screws on my furniture a few months ago, I planned to remove and replace them. But I wasn\'t confident about doing it myself, so I called a carpenter for help. As he worked, I carefully observed and asked for tips. He patiently explained and showed how to use a drill to remove screws properly. It turned out to be simpler than I imagined, and I’m sharing those steps so you can do it too.
How to Remove Screw using Drill?
Here is what the carpenter I hired did.
The carpenter started by picking a screwdriver bit that matched the screw\'s head—Phillips for a cross-head screw and a flat bit for a straight slot. He explained that using the wrong bit could strip the screw head.
He set the drill to reverse mode. “This ensures the screw backs out instead of driving deeper,” he said. A simple but important step!
Next, he placed the bit securely in the screw head and started the drill at a low speed.
As the screw loosened, he increased the speed slowly and applied constant pressure until it came out cleanly.
Finally, he twisted the chuck counterclockwise, and it came right out.
I hope you understand how to remove screw bit from drill.
