Today every street vendor too has a UPI payment option available. So banks have introduced the option of credit cards for UPI payments too. If you were unaware of this, let me tell you that credit cards are accepted in India by Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, and other UPI applications. And if you do not know

how to use credit card for UPI payment, I will help you out since it is a very easy process.

Now make payment of all your utility bills through your credit card and earn exciting cashback and rewards.

Any Bharat merchant who accepts QR codes can be paid for using the applications and credit cards (CC). Similar to UPI payments, which are connected to the bank account, you scan the QR code, enter the payment amount, choose the payment source, start the process, enter the OTP in place of the UPI PIN, and the transaction is finished. Users benefit from the convenience of not having to lug their credit cards with them. I will explain the process more clearly for GooglePay, PhonePe, and Paytm too.

UPI payment through credit card

Although credit cards cannot yet be used to make UPI payments, you can still add them to UPI apps. With the latter, you may make contactless purchases online, at tap & pay terminals, and with Bharat QR codes while carrying your credit cards on your phone. Currently, adding credit cards differs among UPI apps like Google Pay, Paytm, and PhonePe.

How to pay UPI using credit card

Google Pay

Once your credit card has been connected to Google Pay successfully, enter the payment amount, choose your card, and continue. Input the OTP that was sent to your registered number, then wait for the payment to be confirmed. On Google Pay, you can use your credit card to make payments at

  • Tap and Pay

  • Bharat QR code mobile recharging and online payments at third-party retailers that accept Google Pay

PhonePe

Similar to Google Pay, only credit cards are accepted for payments at BharatPe-approved retailers and sellers as well as for purchases made through the PhonePe app. To use a credit card to make a payment on PhonePe:

  • Detect the QR code.

  • Put the figure in.

  • Enter the CVV after choosing your credit card.

  • The remaining steps will be completed on their own. You will have the choice to tap and hold to stop entering the OTP you obtained if you really want to reject the payment.

Paytm

Using the PayTM to Bharat QR code, you can use credit cards to make payments, similar to how Google Pay and PhonePe work. To do this, simply scan the code, input the required information (amount, credit card, CVV code, and so on), and then complete the transaction.

Additionally, there are fees associated with using a credit card to add money to the PayTM wallet. This is how it goes:

  • Open Paytm and select My Paytm > Paytm Wallet.

  • Enter the desired amount and then add Rs. X.

  • Following the selection of your credit card and CVV entry, tap Pay.

  • You can use this to pay anyone on PayTM when you've added the necessary sum.
