What is the IFB Washing Machine Descaling Procedure?

Here is how I use the descaler in my IFB washing machine. I am sharing the procedure for a fully automatic machine.

1. To begin, pour 1 pack of the descaler powder into your washing machine’s drum and run it for the longest possible time. Remember to keep the drum completely empty. The temperature for this should be somewhere between 40 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. 

2. After you are done, clean and refix the machine’s fluff filter.

3. Now, rinse the machine with normal water by switching on its program.

Now, let me take you through the descaling of your machine’s showerhead.

1. Remove the showerhead or the sprinkler nozzle. 

2. Then, dissolve one tablespoon of the descaler powder in hot water in a plastic mug. Mix them together using a plastic spoon. 

3. Lastly, leave the solution until you see that the effervescence has stopped.

You can use lemon juice instead of baking powder in the machine. You can mix salt and crushed ice to remove any scale buildup from your washing machine.
