How to Use Dr Fixit 112 Pidifin 2K Easily?
First, the surface must be prepared by mechanical means to get rid of all the loose particles.
If there’s any oil and grease, de-grease using suitable solvents. Wash it off using water and let the surface dry.
Fill cracks and holes with cement sand mortar mixed with latex polymers like the Pidicrete URP by Dr Fixit.
The substrate should be in a saturated surface dry condition, meaning that it should be damp, without standing water.
Then, shake the liquid well to a homogeneous milky colour. Mix the two components of the material.
Slowly add the powder component into the liquid in a mixing vessel. Continuously stir until you reach a lump-free homogeneous slurry.
Thoroughly pre-wet the application surface with water and bring it to a touch dry state. Apply the first coat using a stiff nylon brush. Work well into the substrate and ensure all small areas are filled with the coating.
Lay 50 gsm fibre mesh over the angle fillet when the first coat is still wet. Apply the 2nd coat 6 to 8 hours after the first coat. The second coat should be applied perpendicularly to the first coat.
Let the surface air cure for 3 to 5 days. Keep a moist hessian cloth over the surface to protect it from direct sunlight.
I hope it helps.
