• First, he wore rubber gloves and combined the warm water and Trisodium phosphate (TSP) in the bucket.

• Then, he wore safety goggles and used the brush to apply the polyurethane sealant to the painted wood surface. He left the sealer to get dry.

• He used an electric sander to carefully smooth the surface with #220 grit sandpaper. 

• Then he made a pass with #320 grit sandpaper.

• To clear the surface of the polyurethane dust, he used the vacuum and tack cloth.

• Finally, realising that more coats of polyurethane sealer were essential for adherence and durability, he applied them.
