Withdrawing gratuity online involves a streamlined process facilitated by various online platforms, typically managed by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) or the respective employer’s HR department. Here are details on how to withdraw gratuity online.
Here’s a step-by-step gratuity withdrawal online process:
Go to the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) official website at epfindia.gov.in.
Log in to the EPFO Member Portal with your Universal Account Number (UAN) and password. If you do not have UAN, you need to activate it first by following the registration process.
Navigate to the “Online Services” section and select “Gratuity Claim” if available. Some EPFO portals may not directly handle gratuity claims online and may redirect to employer processes.
Alternatively, you can download the gratuity claim form from the EPFO website or obtain it from your employer. Complete the form with required details, including personal information, employment details, and the reason for withdrawal. Ensure the form is signed by you and your employer’s authorized signatory.
Submit the completed form to your employer’s HR or payroll department for verification and approval. Your employer will verify the details and forward the claim to the relevant authorities for processing.
The processing time for gratuity claims can vary. Once approved, the amount will be disbursed to your bank account.

I resigned from my job after 5 years of my employment. I decided to withdraw my gratuity, and wanted to know how to claim gratuity online. I asked my banker friend about the same, and she told me that there is no online process for withdrawing gratuities because the employer submits the claim, not a third party or external agency.
I also asked her that,
Can we withdraw gratuity after 5 years?
She told me that yes, I can withdraw gratuity after 5 years. The payment of gratuities is often made at retirement, although after a set amount of time (5 years), one can ask for it while moving jobs.
When can we withdraw gratuity?
My friend informedme that any of the following conditions must be met for the employee to receive a gratuity; the employee must be qualified for retirement benefits, the employee should have retired, the employee quit after five years with the same employer, or the employee passes away or becomes disabled as a result of a disease or accident.

Can we withdraw gratuity during service?
She told me that as a token of appreciation for your long-term services, the employer is legally required to pay gratuity when an employee leaves the company. So, employees do not have any legal authority to claim it as per their needs during service.
I hope through this answer about how to claim gratuity online clarifies that as of now there is no online process. However, it's vital to reach out to your employer or a financial counsellor if you're thinking about withdrawing your gratuity after five years to learn about your possibilities.

One can only think of the withdrawal of gratuity if he/she had worked for at least 5 years in a company. Gratuity is something that an employee gets as a part of the full and final settlement of the company.

Generally, gratuity is paid after retirement. However, if you are pondering about how to withdraw gratuity without resignation, then I’d say that it is not possible for any employee to withdraw gratuity while working. There are certain prerequisites to withdraw gratuity;
The employee has to be eligible for superannuation
The employee should have retired
The employee must have resigned after completing 5 years with the same employer.
The employee dies or suffers from a disability caused due to an illness or accident.
I also got clarification from the previously mentioned answers regarding how can I get my gratuity amount. For the withdrawal of gratuity, I completed the Gratuity Claim Form I. On the gratuity form I, I wrote all of the required information, such as my full name, address, department in which I worked, employee ID number, date of appointment, cause of termination, total service period, and last drawn salary. Finally, I signed the gratuity claim form after filling it out.

Hey,
Previously, I had worked in a company for four consecutive years yet I didn't receive any gratuity from my ex-employer. Now that I'm working in another organisation, I am left wondering when gratuity is given and how to get it. I am curious about gratuity withdrawal online amongst other details.

I learnt that there is a formula to calculate gratuity. It is (15 * last drawn monthly salary * tenure of working) divided by 26; where 26 is taken as the number of working days per month.
For example, if I have a basic salary of Rs 30,000. I have rendered continuous service for 7 years and the employer is not covered under the Gratuity Act. Gratuity Amount = (15 * 30,000 * 7) / 30 = Rs 1,05,000.
How to withdraw gratuity amount ?
You will need to fill out form I, ensuring all the details mentioned in the form are correct.
You will need to mention your full name, address of the claimant, the department in which you worked, employee id number, date of appointment, the cause of termination, total service period, last drawn salary etc.
You will need to give your banker a passbook copy. You can also give a cancelled check.
The form will undergo a verification
Once that is done and there are no faults, the money will be released to your account.
The gratuity withdrawal process is only available to those who have completed 5 consecutive years in a company. There shouldn't be any gaps in this tenure. Moreover, the gratuity amount is only released (a) On superannuation, or
(b) On retirement, resignation, or
(c) On death or disablement due to accident or disease.
There is no process of gratuity withdrawal online as the claim is given by the employer, not any external organisation or third party. To know when you will receive the gratuity claim, speak to the human resource department or finance department of the organisation. I think of gratuity as a retirement benefit.
This is all from my end on the gratuity withdrawal process online.

Gratuity is an amount given by the employer to the employee after the employee leaves the job or passes away after serving for a period of at least 5 years. This amount is paid in gratitude for his services for the organisation. Any organisation or establishment which employs 10 or more employees is bound to pay gratuity to its employees. The question arises
how to withdraw gratuity online. I am willing to answer this for you. But let us look at what is the formula to calculate gratuity.
Formula to calculate gratuityTo calculate the gratuity following is the formula:
Gratuity = N X B X 15
÷ 26
Here,
N = Number of years of service in the organisation
B = Last drawn basic salary (including DA)
How to withdraw gratuity onlineYou need to fill a form to withdraw your gratuity. I am not sure if the process is online as of now. Following are the details of the gratuity forms available:
Gratuity Form I: Application by the employee for the gratuity payment
Gratuity Form J: Application by the nominee for the gratuity payment
Gratuity Form K: Application by the legal heir for the gratuity payment
The details to be included in the gratuity form will be as follows:
Full name
Address
Department of last employed
Date of appointment
Service period
Last drawn wages
Total gratuity amount claimed
The employer has to pay the gratuity within 30 days from the date of superannuation or retirement, resignation, disablement because of accident or any disease or death of the employee.
You need to submit Form I, a copy of your bank passbook or a cancelled cheque. Within 30 days of the submission, your gratuity will be credited into your bank account. If not paid in the stipulated period of 30 days, the employer has to pay simple interest on the gratuity amount.
I hope now you know how to withdraw gratuity online or offline.
