The best option would be getting a place in the hostel. As GLC doesn’t has its own hostel, there are a few places reserved for GLC students at Mumbai University hostel. But then getting a place there is quite difficult.
As a college student, that too in an expensive city like Mumbai, it is advisable that you look for a PG. There are two options: Staying close to college and paying high rent and staying away from the college and paying low rent.
a. Staying near the college would mean that you will need to pay a lot of rent. The rent is usually around 10-15K for triple sharing. If you are lucky enough, you might find a double sharing room in this range.
b. Next option is staying in areas like Malad, Goregaon, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund and other areas. The rent would be less (around 7K per month - sharing PG), but you will have to travel a lot. Mostly, students choose to stay away as the local connectivity is excellent in Mumbai.
