Property registration in Goa will require you to go through document verification, stamp duty, and registration charges. I completed my property registration process last year and let me guide you through the same. You should know that the primary purpose of registering a property is to have a legal transfer of ownership which not only provides credibility of the property but also protects the property rights.

How to Register a Property in Goa?

Before you start with the process of registering your property, document verification is an essential step. These may include encumbrance certificate, title deed, and other relevant papers. Here are some steps you need to take to register your property in Goa.

  1. Visit the

    NGDRS website

and register yourself as a citizen.

  2. After registration, login with your account on the home page.

  3. Now, you need to click on ‘Document Entry’ and then, ‘New Document Entry’ after which you have to fill in all the necessary details.

  4. Upload all the documents and enter details like district, location, property or land type, etc. After this, you can see the property valuation form on your screen.

  5. Here, click on the ‘purchaser’ under the party category and enter all the relevant details.

  6. On the next page, you can view the stamp duty and registration charges. After you click on ‘submit’, an e-challan will be created.

  7. After you make the payment, verify all your documents and upload the payment receipt.

  8. Now, you will see a screen where you need to schedule an appointment with the Sub-Registrar’s Office (SRO)

So, this is how you can do your property registration in Goa. I hope this helps.
