2. Course of StudyAnother reason for the rejection of an education loan could be the course that you are planning to study and the educational institution that you have applied to. Banks often provide quick education loans to the applicants who are undertaking courses which will yield higher earnings in the near future. This is an indicator that the applicant will be able to repay the loan easily and quickly.
3. Past academic performanceIt’s not just the educational institutes but banks as well, who look at your past academic records. If you’ve had a rocky performance, there is a chance your application might be rejected.
4. Low CIBIL of the GuarantorI am sure you must have named a guarantor in your education loan application. Check if their CIBIL score was low. It could be a reason that your loan application with SBI was rejected.
Identify the reasons first and try applying with a local bank or NBFCs.
