Orakadu is a village in Sholavaram Block, Tamil Nadu, 25 kms from Chennai. The village is famous for Cholavaram which gets replenished with rain water and is a main source of water supply in Chennai apart from Kaveri. As far as connectivity is concerned, there is a lot of work happening on that front. For now there are a few bus stops; Budhur Village Bus Stop, Budur, Mabuskanpetai.
The land prices are comparatively lower in this area. The minimum guidance value in Sholavaram village is Rs. 300 per sq ft. but there are a few land parcels which can go up to Rs. 1000 per square feet.
Although there are not many residential projects in this area, the lands here are good for agricultural purposes. Also, I suspect that there will be a lot more happening in this area soon in terms of infrastructural development. Keep an eye out.
I would still suggest you to ask around and visit the area yourself to know how good of an investment is Orakadu.
