Areas that lie to the south of Adyar river comprise the neighbourhoods of South Chennai. Some popular localities of South Chennai along with per square feet rate of property are: 1.Velachery : Average property rate in Velachery is Rs. 7645 per sq. ft. 2.Taramani: Average property rate in Taramani is Rs. 6937 per sq. ft.
