I want to sell my plot to a building contractor. The land is owned by me but the housing society claims that i don't have the right to sell the plot of land to a third party? I will have to surrender the land owned by me to the housing society? What should i do? plz advise sir.

Some cooperative housing societies or CHS do have a holding period before owners get the right to sell the property. You should be able to sell your property after the holding period is complete. Please get in touch the society or an advocate along with Sale Agreement / Sale Deed to understand the surrender policies that are applicable in your case.
