To make a transfer you need to take care of the following:
Ensure that there are no dues pending from the seller’s end to the authorities.
You should have the original allotment letter from the owner issued by MHADA
You should also have a copy of the letter which has the details of the owner’s interest in the transfer of the property.
Check whether all the previous dues are paid
At the time of transfer, follow the process mentioned below:
Check the sale agreement for the buyer's name (your name).
Duly pay the stamp duty and registration charges.
After you’ve paid the stamp duty and registration charges, contact MHADA to get the transfer certificate for the property registered in your name.
It will take six months to complete the process as per the MHADA rules for the transfer of flats once you send the copy of registry papers and submit Rs 35000 as the transfer fees.
Get the power of attorney (if any) transferred in your name despite registration of property in your name.
