If I am paying rent to my father, do I need to prepare normal rent agreement or family member lease agreement or any other ?

Hey Buddy,

The lease agreement is required if you are living in a house for a long span of time. If you are living in a short period of time, let's say for 11 months a simple rental agreement will do. Since you are renting a house and paying your rent to your father a normal rental agreement will help you out. You can claim your HRA by showing the rent receipts but before this, you need to draft a rent agreement with your father.
