Generally, there are two copies of the agreement wherein both the properties sign the photocopy of the agreement. So, it is more or less both parties have authentic documents. If you still want to know, the original agreement belongs to the person who pays the stamp duty and purchases the agreement. At the header of a rental agreement, you would see that it is mentioned, “PURCHASED BY” followed by a name. So, the person who has purchased the rental agreement will technically have the original copy. However, this doesn’t make the photocopy less valuable.
