In the case of joint ownership on the seller (Husband & wife) side, could 1% TDS on sale of flat be filed entirely for one of them based on their request?

As per section 194-IA 2, 1% TDS is imposed on the sale of the property. I want you to know that TDS on property in the case of joint owners will only be applied if the cost of transaction for each joint owner is more than ₹50000. TDS on the sale of property in the case of joint sellers is only applicable if the sale price is more than the case of the co-owners. If you want to know whether only one co-owner can file TDS for both of them, then I suggest you consult a CA.
