According to Vastu Shastra east-facing properties are believed to be good for buildings and multi-storey apartments. The east direction is considered auspicious as it represents  growth and prosperity. However, the width of the road in front of a property is also significant in Vastu. Ideally, the road should be wider in the north and east directions compared to the south and west.
