first, I too was hesitant to buy an AC from a new brand like Amstrad. But a friend of mine who had already been using Amstrad AC suggested I buy this AC. So, right before the Covid lockdown, I purchased an Amstrad Doctor AC 1.5 Tonne 3 Star Inverter Split Air Conditioner (AMS203DrCMi).

Amstrad AC is Good or Bad?

I initially believed their 60-degree cooling smart air conditioner to be a marketing gimmick. But it was actually true.

• They state that this contains an air purifier and eliminates airborne germs.

• Additionally, they say this repels mosquitoes. Though I'm not sure if this is eliminating bacteria from the air in my room, I'm impressed that mosquitoes are no longer bugging me 😂. 

• I feel that as compared to my previous air conditioner, this one cools the space more quickly and effectively thanks to its energy-saving mode.

• Amstrad offers superior customer care, and the AC installation was done for free.

• The phrase "quieter than a whisper" is written on the AC, and it is what struck me the most. When operating, the air conditioner produces very little noise—you could almost say none at all.

• This brand's price is also far lower than that of the other high-end Japanese machines.

My friend who suggested this AC also told me that their servicing is quite reliable too. The AC he bought had some issues with dripping water. He raised a complaint and his AC was serviced within a week. He was not charged any extra penny for the servicing and repair. He also told me that the cooling is also fine post-servicing.

But you should know that in terms of models, there are certain good models and certain bad models. I have heard that among the good ones are the smart wifi copper inverter and the Doctor AC 1.5 Tonne 3 Star Inverter Split Air Conditioner.

is Amstrad AC good? It has been great for me. But I will again say that it all depends on the model. Be careful while choosing a model for your house and I am sure your experience will be as good as mine.
