The Bangalore vs Delhi cost of living depends on quite a lot of factors. As someone who has stayed in both cities for 6+ years, I am pretty sure I get to express my opinion, too. 

Delhi is the capital city, and Bangalore is the Silicon Valley of our country. Both cities have their advantages and disadvantages. Here is what I feel about the cost of living Delhi vs Bangalore. 

Cost Of Living In Delhi vs Bangalore

Housing

The cost of housing in Delhi and Bangalore can vary depending on a lot of factors, such as type of accommodation, location, living conditions, etc. But the cost of housing in both these cities is relatively similar to each other. 

Transportation

Bangalore has a range of transportation options, such as buses and metro. On the other hand, the Delhi Metro is the heartbeat of the city as it connects every part of the city and offers a more economic choice.

Daily Expenses

The cost of living Bangalore vs Delhi differs based on your everyday choices. In Delhi, if you plan to eat out daily, your food expenses can easily exceed ₹10000, but cooking at home will cost you around ₹5000 every month. 

On the other hand, eating outside in Bangalore can cost you around ₹8000 - ₹9000 every month, but cooking at home will cost you around ₹6000 every month. 

As I mentioned before, Bangalore vs Delhi cost of living depends on many factors. If you put it all together, the cost of living in Delhi will be a bit cheaper than in Bangalore. 

The cost of living in Bangalore vs Delhi can only be determined by the person who has lived in both cities. My husband moves to different cities due to his job, so I can give you an idea of the cost of living in both cities as I have lived in both. Of course, several aspects need to be considered before comparing like

• Where you want to live

• What kind of lifestyle you have

• Whether you will commute using your own vehicle or public transport and more

Before moving to Bangalore from Delhi, I too was worried about is Bangalore expensive than Delhi. I asked my husband to ask a few of his colleagues and learned that it is not. Let me tell you why. This will be just a basic insight, but I am sure you will get an idea of the expenses and plan your expenditures accordingly.

Delhi is our capital city and I always believed it was more expensive than Bangalore but I was wrong. Bangalore is costlier in most aspects. I would like to share a chart to make you understand why I am saying so-

• Personal care

• Entertainment and more

In most aspects, Bangalore seems to be costlier. My husband got a good hike, but after moving to Bangalore, it did not seem very beneficial. But yes, the air quality of Bangalore is better than that of Delhi, and the climate is also good here. Most importantly, Bangalore is safer than Delhi, so I am glad that I got a chance to spend about six years in this city. But do not worry much about the cost of living in Bangalore vs Delhi. Your expenditure will be pretty much the same if you control it a bit.
