As a resident of Gurugram, I can attest to the fact that it is a rapidly growing city with a lot to offer. Being part of the Delhi National Capital Region, Gurugram is a bustling city with a population of over 1.5 million people. It is a hub of multi-national companies and boasts a thriving real estate sector. I will tell you my personal views on ‘is Gurgaon safe/is Gurugram safe’.
Is Gurgaon safe to live?
As far as safety is concerned, Gurugram is relatively safe. While there are concerns like in any big city, the city has a well-equipped police force that ensures the safety of its residents. I always make sure to exercise caution and be aware of my surroundings, especially when travelling alone at night. I send my details to my friend if i'm travelling by cab.
All of us have had questions about GGN. I have heard from my friends ‘Is Gurugram a good place to live?’, ‘Is gurgaon safe place to live?’, ‘is gurgaon safe for women?’.When it comes to safety for women, I have found that the city is generally safe though, there are some areas that are not safe. There have been news about assault, theft, burglary, and vehicle theft in certain areas.
How safe is Gurgaon?
To answer this question, Gurgaon is as safe as you can be. There are police force, security deployed throughout the city but one can never be too careful.
This is all from my end on ‘is Gurgaon safe’.

I have always felt that the city of Gurgaon was essentially designed with students and working professionals in mind, unlike the majority of other cities that are still adjusting to their presence. But I also understand how intimidating moving to a new city can be. But I was at your place once too. I shifted to Gurgaon in 2014 and the question that first popped up in my mind was “is Gurgaon a good place to live?”. It sure is, I will tell you why.
Why is Gurgaon good place to live?
Better Accommodations: Gurgaon's neighbourhoods are well-developed. Additionally, Gurgaon is easily accessible due to its current state of development. There are 1 BHK, 2 BHK, or 3 BHK properties for rent in Gurgaon for people like students, working professionals, and families.
Check out properties in Gurgaon in the best locations on NoBroker, here.Brokerage fees are startlingly expensive. In that scenario, you might look to real estate websites like NoBroker that list Gurgaon rental apartments directly. For families or kids with limited resources, this is very helpful.
Peaceful Life: Delhi is a crowded city where the hustle and bustle of the city is a regular occurrence. On the other hand, Gurgaon can offer a variety of possibilities in this regard. Gurgaon's gated communities and other locales are located in designated residential neighbourhoods. As a result, the likelihood of interference and noise from vehicles is very low.
Gurgaon's Sectors 14, 31, 40, 45, and 46 are excellent areas to rent an apartment.
Better Night Life: The best hotspots in Gurgaon are places like the Kingdom of Dreams, Cyber Hub, Ambience Mall, etc. Consider places like Vapour Pub & Brewery, Adda by Striker, and others if you want to unwind with some good food.
Job Opportunities: In India, Gurgaon is a significant centre for business and finance. Thus, the majority of people who live in the NCR work for businesses that are based in Gurgaon. Coca-Cola, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki, and other well-known businesses are just a few of Gurgaon's most notable employers.
Delhi is not Far Away: You should be aware that Delhi and Gurgaon are not that far apart if you are set on living there. You can always arrange a get-together with your friends and family to appreciate special moments together. In the NCR, Delhi Metro offers top-notch transportation services. Because of this, you won't miss your beloved Delhi while living in Gurgaon.
Before relocating, there are a few things you should research if you're going to Gurgaon. Accommodation, food, transportation, utility costs, the level of living, etc. Gurgaon offers choices for everyone, whether single or with a family. I will share some information about Gurgaon's cost of living.

Making a decision is challenging, but if you carefully consider your options, you always have a choice. Gurgaon offers the ideal setting for habitation and a wide range of alternatives for everyone, whether they are looking to rent an apartment or find employment. I hope this answers why is Gurgaon a good place to live.
Gurugram is largely developed by private enterprises in bits and pieces and does not have an integrated drainage system — one of the important reasons for the frequent flooding. The civic infrastructure of the city is also not entirely maintained by the municipal corporation. Around ten private colonies have been taken over by the MCG over the past five years, but the rest, around 70, are still with developers and lack adequate drainage, sewage and electricity infrastructure. The roads here used to be dug up every six months. there are migrant labourers, domestic help and industrial workers who constitute Gurgaon’s poor. With no access to public transport, they resort to sharing auto rickshaws or comply with taxi drivers who flout norms and stuff as many as 10 people into a single cab. Their children often fall into bore-wells laid by citizens. These wells were dug because the government is in no position to guarantee water supplies. Yet private services are far from ideal. Gurgaon has no sewage system, so private companies collect the sewage in septic tanks and dump it in nearby rivers or on open land. Privately drilled borewells have quickly depleted the amount of groundwater in the city.
Gurgaon, the swankier-in-parts cousin of Delhi, has an extremely dark side when it comes to the safety of women. Women who travel to Gurugram for work or live in the city, face an extremely hard time quite often. The Old Gurgaon area is found to be more unsafe than the new. Most often, crimes are related to drugs and the search for easy money for a new dose. Therefore, young people on the streets, especially late at night, may not behave appropriately. The police do not always respond quickly to reports of crimes and may not respond to your statement about the attack due to corruption. You must take care of your safety.
Now you know is Gurgaon a good place to live or not.
