Should the tenant pay the painting charges if they are asked by the owner to vacate for no reason. In my case owner asked me to vacate the House because he is giving the house to his friend.

Hi there,

This is a very tricky question. At times landlords demand painting charges when tenants vacate. Since the tenant has stayed in the house for a while the landlord asks for painting charges. But you talk to your landlord and come to a mutual ground. When I vacated my house, I had to pay for painting charges as well. Mine was deducted from the security deposit. Check your rental agreement once and see if there are any clauses stating your painting charges.
