The process to execute a gift deed is as follows:

1) You have to approach the nearest Registrar's office to execute a gift deed.

2) You should mention the relationship between the donor and donee.

3) You will need 2 witnesses along with their details.

4) Then just pay stamp duty and registration charges.

Documents required to register a gift deed:

  • Copy and original sale deed

  • ID proof of buyer, seller and 2 witnesses like Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.

  • A duplicate of the municipal tax bill indicating the year the property was constructed

  • Copies of both the seller's and buyer's PAN cards

  • The buyer, seller, and two witnesses must all have their thumb impressions/signature and a photograph
