Q.

We are located on Juhu-Gulmohar Cross Road No.10 waiting to apply for redevelopment. Our is a MHADA building with 7 floors. Building next to ours is recently re-developed 16 floor building (also MHADA) and it appears the height above the present restrictions. Can we get approval for a similar structure quoting this building-Acropolis developed by Bharat Builders?

As per the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) guidelines, the maximum height of a building is determined by the plot size, road width, and other factors

. The height restrictions are in place to ensure that the buildings are safe and do not pose a threat to aviation safety .

To answer your question, the height of the Acropolis building developed by Bharat Builders cannot be used as a reference for your building’s height. The height of each building is determined by the MHADA based on the plot size and other factors.
