Hey friend,

The stamp duty charge and registration cost are set by the Government of India. It differs from one state to another. I will share a list of stamp duty charges. There is a difference in charge when the property is registered under a female and a male.

Stamp duty is calculated according to the current ready-reckoner rate.

Cities Stamp duty rates
Delhi 6% for male
4% for female
Mumbai 6% for male
5% for female

Bangalore

5% (above Rs 45 lakh)

3% (Rs 21-45 lakh)

2% (Less than Rs 20 lakh)

Pune

7% for male

6% for female

Hyderabad

5%

Chennai

7%

Kolkata

Upto Rs 1 crore - 4%

Above Rs 1 crore - 5%

Ahmedabad
