Thane
Thane has an excellent connectivity to Navi Mumbai and Eastern and Western Suburbs of Mumbai as well. You can reach Thane via Ghodbunder Road, JVLR, SCLR, Eastern Freeway, NH 8, Mumbai-Nashik Highway and the Thane-Belapur Road. Apart from this,Thane-Panvel Rail Line, the Central Harbour Rail Line and Central Railways connect Thane to Mumbai's railway network.
Vasai
There are several options from Vasai to commute to major parts of Mumbai and nearby areas. It is connected by Western Railway and Central Railway. You can commute through Virar railway station, Nala Sopara railway station (Western Railway), Vasai Road railway station (Western/Central Railway), Naigaon railway station (Western Railway), Juchandra railway station (Central Railways), Kaman Road railway station (Central Railway). By road, there are several options such as VVMT which is the most widely used public road transport system.
Infrastructure
Both Virar and Thane have relatively less water supply problems. Although, there are a few areas where people (societies) need to call the water tankers. There is no problem as such for water supply. However, in Virar, there are a few complaints about the water quality not being up to the mark.
Speaking about electricity, normally, there is no electricity and load shedding issue in entire Mumbai and neighbouring areas. However, in Vasai, there is a little problem of load shedding.

Thane

Vasai

So, comparatively, thane is costlier than Vasai. However, the standard of living is better in Thane.
