We had ceramic tiles installed in our house so this time we opted for marble flooring. There are several disadvantages of ceramic tiles that I would like to share from my personal experience. I am sure you will agree with them too. Here are the problems I faced.
What are the Disadvantages of Ceramic Tile Flooring?
The ceramic tile disadvantages are as follows:
Breaks Easily:Ceramic tiles can break or chip easily if something heavy falls on them. This type of flooring is therefore inconvenient for busy areas.
Too Hard:Ceramic tiles are really hard, which can be tough on your feet if you're standing for a long time. This flooring is therefore less comfy than other flooring.
Tricky to Install:Putting ceramic tiles in needs mastery, or else you might end up with uneven floors or broken tiles, making it costly to fix. Thus, you need to make sure you hire experts for ceramic tile installation.
Weight:Ceramic tiles are heavy so they are not recommended for use on higher floors. Such tiles might hamper the stability of your building’s structure so you better avoid using them for more elevated floors.
There are several kinds of ceramic tiles, namely:
Glazed ceramic tiles
Decorated ceramic tiles
Ceramic floor tiles
So make your decision carefully. I hope this information was helpful.
