The Indian government established the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) programme in order to provide affordable housing for all citizens, including those from the economically weaker sections (EWS). According to the PMAY Eligibility, the EWS applicants must have an annual income of up to Rs. 3 lakhs in order to qualify for this scheme. Additionally, they must not own a house anywhere in India. They will get a maximum loan period of 20 years. The overall goal of this scheme is to raise the living standards of those who fall under the EWS category by giving them access to high-quality housing.
