Buying an apartment in Bangalore might be a brave decision depending upon the circumstances you have.
Generally in the current time, the decision of buying a property in Banglore will only be good if you are going to stay in that property for a longer period of time say 10 to 15 years. Because the price of the apartment in Bangalore is so high that it would not bearable for buying that only for four or five years.
For a smaller period of time, the rental flats should be preferable as the rent of flats is generally bearable for that period of time, which means renting a flat rather than buying any apartment will be more reliable for short time.
The people of majority areas of Bangalore are dependent on water tankers for the water supply due to the lack of water level in the areas on a day-to-day basis. This place is definitely lying on a stagnant market. Buying would be preferable where an appreciation of market price is expected to be in the range of 10% or higher.
On the other hand, in the case of a family, if the job location changes then everything will be needed to be changed including all the accessories of the apartment.
