Before I took out a loan from Punjab and Sind bank last year, I had zero idea about what is the process of a home loan or what documents are needed. I called the customer support of the bank to learn and asked them about the process as well as the required Punjab and Sind Bank home loan documents. The bank told me about all the documents that I needed to provide. I have added the said list of documents below. 

What are the Punjab and Sind Home Loan Documents Required?

The documents list provided by the bank is pretty straightforward, and I have added those below. 

  • Properly filled out loan application along with two passport-size photos. 

  • ID proof: PAN card, Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving License.

  • Address proof: Utility bills, Aadhaar card, Driving License.

  • Income proof: Salary slips, Form 16, IT returns, P&L statement and balance sheet. 

  • Copy of approved map/plan of proposed construction/ purchase.

  • Permission from the competent authority for the construction of a flat/ house.

  • Agreement for sale/ sale deed

  • Proof of margin/advance payments made for buying the residential unit.

  • A copy of the approved map/plan of proposed construction/purchase.

  • Permission from the competent authority for the construction of flat/house

  • Proof of advance/margin payments made for the purchase of the residential unit.

  • An allotment letter from the co-operative society/association of apartment owners.

  • An agreement for sale/sale deed/detailed cost estimate from the architect/engineer for the property to be constructed.

  • Development Authorities/ others.

  • Other documents depending upon –

  1. Property to be purchased directly from the builder (ready / under construction).

  2. Purchase in resale.

  3. Direct sale by any development authority.

  4. Property belonging to a registered co-operative housing society.

  5. Construction of house on a separate plot of land.
