What are the Types of Wallpaper in Interior Design?

A few months ago, I revamped the interior of my house. The wallpaper on the various walls of my house had gotten old and chipped. So I started exploring the wallpaper that could go on my bedroom and living room walls. I went online and looked up types of wallpaper for wall, and discovered several options that each brought a unique flair to my space.

What are the Wallpaper Types for Wall?

 

• First, the durability and ease of maintenance of the vinyl wallpaper reeled me in. Highly used spaces like the living room and kitchen are ideal for it. It was also easy to find something that suited my interests because it had a wide variety of designs. 

• I then discovered grass cloth wallpaper, which gave my study a textured, organic look, which was ideal. The room seemed much cosier because of its organic vibe. But keep in mind that because it's not washable, you would have to be careful when cleaning.

• I also saw the flocked wallpaper, which features a rich velvet-like texture. I used it in my bedroom. It immediately made the place seem much more aesthetic and sophisticated. But I found out that it needs to be handled carefully and isn't the best in busy places like the living room or kitchen.

• Metallic wallpaper caught my eye for its ability to reflect light and create a stunning visual effect. I used it as an accent wall in my hallway, and it truly made the space feel more vibrant. 

This is all about the types of wallpaper in interior design. Overall, choosing the right wallpaper would add character to your space and thus the options should be considered carefully.

The interior designer told me that there are different types of wallpapers and, after that, told me about the top 3 types of wallpapers. 

Vinyl Wallpapers

He said that Vinyl Wallpapers are cheap, durable, and light. They require low maintenance and are water resistant. These types of wallpaper are non-woven in nature, which means that vinyl is attached to some sort of backing. According to him, they are best for people who like to change the look of their walls, often. 

Metallic Wallpapers

He told me that these types of wallpapers have a thin layer of metal film or thread woven into them. Depending on the kind of metal composition, these types of metallic wallpapers work as feature walls and make the space shimmer as they play with light. He said that these kinds of wallpaper for walls are expensive compared to other wallpaper types. 

Hand Screened Wallpapers

The interior designer told me that these wallpapers are great for people who want something artful in their homes. According to him, these types of wallpaper are handmade by pushing dye over a screen where ink is penetrable.
