As purple is a striking colour, it could seem difficult to base a decor plan around it. Most of you must think which color match with purple wall. In reality, a wide range of tones blend well with purple walls to create an eye-catching and well-balanced effect. Moreover, using yellow you can create a complementary colour scheme. Let’s check out the other alternatives that go well with purple wall.

What Color Looks Best with Purple Wall?

  • Yellow

Yellow gives the space a feeling of freshness and excitement. However, when it is used with purple walls, it can generate an eye-catching contrast. A touch of elegance and brightness can also be added to the room with the use of yellow-coloured furniture, accent pieces, or artwork. According to me, the best color that goes with purple is yellow.

  • Grey

As Silvia mentioned above, this muted colour creates a stylish and serene background that lets the purple shine. Different shades of grey, like light grey or charcoal, can generate a sleek, contemporary look. A balanced and aesthetically pleasant setting can be created by utilising grey textiles, such as curtains or carpets, or by adding grey furniture.

  • Brown

Last but not least, combining purple walls with chocolate brown accents might be a chic decision if you want to create a dramatic and bold style. Purple adds a pop of colour, while brown helps the space feel richer and more spacious.

It is crucial to counterbalance the brown with brighter components, such as white furniture or drapes, to prevent the space from becoming overly gloomy.

I hope you got an idea of which colour can go with purple wall.

Choosing colours actually depends on the individual preference. I might love red, and you might love blue so in most of the cases, our choices will differ but I can definitely help you out with which colour can go with purple. Our bedroom has purple walls but I wanted to paint two walls some other colours that are in contrast to the existing colour to give the room a new look. I was also wondering which colour is contrast to purple and after much research, I was able to find the answer.

What Color Goes Well with Purple Walls?

Colours that go with purple in a bedroom or other rooms are:

  • Grey:

Grey and purple create a sophisticated and serene atmosphere. Soft grey walls or bedding can balance the vibrancy of purple and promote relaxation.

  • White:

White pairs elegantly with purple, creating a clean and airy ambiance. It adds a sense of freshness and can make a small bedroom feel more spacious.

  • Lavender:

Combining different shades of purple, such as lavender, creates a harmonious and monochromatic look. It exudes a sense of tranquilly and is perfect for a soothing bedroom.

  • Silver:

Silver accents or furniture can add a touch of glamour to a purple-themed bedroom. This combination can create a luxurious and modern vibe.

  • Gold:

Gold and purple together offer a regal and opulent feel. Gold accents, like picture frames or lamps, can infuse warmth and richness into the space.

  • Green:

A pale green or sage green pairs well with purple, creating a refreshing and nature-inspired atmosphere. It can evoke a sense of balance and harmony in the room.

  • Navy Blue:

Deep navy blue and purple make a striking contrast, providing a sense of depth and drama. This combination can create a cosy and cocoon-like atmosphere.

  • Cream:

Creamy shades, like ivory or off-white, soften the intensity of purple and lend a classic and timeless look to the bedroom. It promotes a sense of comfort and serenity.

Now you can choose which colour can go with purple from this list of colours, or you can go for other colours as well.
