Hi,

You have to file a police complaint about forgery, cheating, and the fabrication of documents. You should also write an application to the inspector-general of registration and the sub-registrar about the same.

You can also publish a warning in the newspaper, mentioning that the original property owner has learned about the fraud, and isn’t in the know of any transactions that might have taken place. You should also keep physical possession of the property besides keeping the original legal documents safe.

After that, you should apply for a legal heir certificate.
