I learned about what is ACD ADJ in KSEB bill just last year. ACD ADJ stands for Additional Cash Deposit Adjustment. As per KSEB or Kerala Electricity Supply Code 2014, it is required to keep a fixed amount as the security deposit from all consumers.
What is ACD or ADJ in KSEB Bill?
ACD or ADJ is the amount paid by all customers as a security deposit. This is the basic meaning of what is ACD in KSEB bill. To calculate this, you will have to find the average power consumption for the financial year immediately preceding the first quarter.
Here are some more points to it:
Customers who get a bill every two months are required to keep a security deposit of 3 month’s average usage bill.
Customers who receive a bill every month are required to pay a bill amount that is equal to 2 months’ average usage bill.
If a consumer’s current security deposit is less than the amount calculated, the lesser amount gets recorded separately on the bill and labelled as ACD ADJ. If the average usage decreases, the excess deposit amount gets deducted from the bill and refunded. Do know that the bank pays interest on the security deposit every year.
