Hey there. I live in an SFS flat in Delhi provided by the DDA. I know you must be confused and would like to know the DDA and SFS flats full form. DDA SFS flats meaning

DDA stands for the Delhi Development Authority. It has been constituted under the Development Act, 1957. Its main task is to construct and develop residential buildings for all groups of citizens in Delhi. 

The DDA allocates flats under six various schemes. These are as follows.

1. Self Financing Scheme (SFS)

2. Higher Income Group Scheme (HIG)

3. Janata Scheme

4. Expandable Housing Scheme

5. Lower Income Group Scheme (LIG)

6. Middle Income Group Scheme (MIG)

When we talk about the DDA SFS flats, the focus is on the flats given under the Self-Financing Scheme of the DDA. Here, the payment is made during the different stages of house construction. The DDA informs about the same through newspapers from time to time.
