If the developer told you that he’d give you a fit-out letter and you could take possession of the property because it might take some time before the Occupancy Certificate is granted. This fit-out possession letter may tempt you into accepting the offer, but let me tell you that it’s not legal. Developer bodies like CREDAI have also mentioned that it’s not safe to accept a fit-out without an Occupancy Certificate.

This certificate indicates that the property is in a good condition for occupancy.
