I have always loved castles be it of a princess or of a ghost. The style is extremely intricate and planned and the overall appearance and fabrication of castles is itself great. I love supernaturalism as well so I really don’t feel frightened just by looking at some gothic castles or buildings. In fact I have seen that gothic buildings are more beautiful than the regular ones since to give it a frightening look, more details and work is done on them that is highly praiseable. The gothic architecture features are one of a kind that can be witnessed in many ghost movies or supernatural ones. Let me share more details about it to help you understand it clearly.

The most prominent features of this type of architecture are

  • Large stained glass windows

Why is it called gothic architecture?

The style is frightening and ugly and the term Gothic was coined by Italian writers of the Renaissance period. According to the, this style reflects nonclassical ugliness similar to those of the Barbarian gothic tribes who had destroyed the Roman Empire in the 5th century and hence has named this gloomy and dull style after them.
