GRAS:

The initiative is known as GRAS or Government Receipt Accounting System. Taxpayers can make payments at any time of the day. They can fill out challan online, and get instant receipts and instant online bank transaction numbers. Personal taxes can be filed on their own and on behalf of the firm,company and others.

All challans issued on the new GRAS system will get a number. The eighteen-digit, unique number is known as the government reference number. GRN challan is issued to identify the payment made by the taxpayer. Since the number is issued automatically, you can find it on the electronic challan itself.

  • Open the GRAS website:

    https://gras.mahakosh.gov.in/echallan/#

  • Click on search Challan 

  • Then, select the department- from the dropdown list. 

  • Choose District/Treasury from the dropdown list.o Bank – Select Bank printed on challan from the dropdown list. 

  • They will need to enter the amount of challan

  • Your challan will be displayed on the screen. 

  Method 2:

You can find the GRN number by knowing the bank CIN No(Challan Identification Number). The CIN No of that respective bank will be displayed after the completion of the transaction. 

You can get the CIN number by logging in to the respective bank account.
