Hey buddy. My driver is planning to apply for the Delhi Development Authority or DDA flat, as his annual income was Rs 3 lakhs. A few weeks ago, when my cousin, who works at DDA, visited my home, my driver asked for a few details. During discussion, he informed me the size of DDA LIG flats depends on the project and its layout.

My cousin also said a few things, like.

  • LIG Flats in Rohini (Sector 34/35) has an area around 33 to 34 sq m.

  • The LIG DDA apartments' size meet the necessities of a small family while maintaining the housing's affordability for those with low incomes.

  • Although these apartments are usually small, they are set up to make the best use of both space and utility.

He also shared the available LIG size flats with their plinth area to my phone, which later I passed to my driver. I am sharing those with you, in case it helps you.

Many of you have always wanted to own a house, but the rising cost of real estate and inflation in the housing market make it challenging. Hence, the Indian Government established Housing Boards to offer Low Income Group (LIG) flats that are aimed at the lower middle class who are financially independent. But the main question is: What is LIG flat size? Scroll down to get the answer.

What is the LIG flat size?

LIG flats are 60 square meters (645 sq ft) in size, have basic utilities, and require an annual household income of between INR 3 lakh and INR 6 lakh.

  • The balcony is about 4-5 square meters in size (44 square feet to 53.75 square feet).

  • The kitchen is around 5 square meters (53.75 square feet), while the bedroom is generally about 10 square meters (107.5 square feet).

  • The DDA (Delhi Development Authority) LIG apartments project offers 140 well-placed, ventilated 5-story flats with good floor design. The DDA LIG flat size usually ranges from 350.0-415.0 sq. ft.

  • The CIDCO LIG flat size is 29.82 sq meters.

I hope you got an idea of the LIG flat size. If you have any more questions on the matter, just drop them in the comments below.
