A National Pension System (NPS) account's temporary suspension is referred to as a "NPS Account Freeze." To stop any illegal transactions, the PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority) has taken this move. The account may be frozen under only circumstance is when the required minimum yearly contribution is not made. Every year, you must deposit at least Rs 1,000 into your Tier 1 NPS account. If you have a Tier 2 account, you must additionally deposit Rs 250 into it.
