Hello Yushi. I hired a painter from NoBroker almost a year ago to polish my wood. He told me he was going to use melamine polish. I asked him what is melamine polish for wood at the moment. He told me that it is a type of finish that's frequently used to protect and improve the appearance of wood surfaces. What is Melamine Polish Meaning?

The painter said that wood pores are usually sealed with melamine polish. It is a closed-pore glue that keeps the wood from breathing and shields it from hot and cold surfaces. 

He further added melamine resin is a synthetic polymer that is heat- and flame-resistant. It forms a thin film-like layer on wood that seals pores and gives it a long-lasting shine and resistance to scratches.

It is a type of closed pore polish that is used on wooden products. It makes the surface of the wooden product non-breathable. The surface is protected from hot or cold items placed on it. eg, if you place a hot pan on a melamine polish table, the table will not be damaged.
