National Company Law Appellate Tribunal is the Appellate Tribunal that hears appeals against the orders of NCLT (National Company Law Tribunal). The responsibility of NCLAT also includes hearing appeals against the orders passed by NCLT(s) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (Section 61), with effect from 01-12-2016.
National Company Law Appellate Tribunal is also the Appellate Tribunal to hear appeals against the orders passed by the IBBI under IBC ( Section 211 and 202). It also hears appeals against any order passed or decision made direction issued by the CCI (Competition Commission of India) – according to the amendment brought to the Companies Act, 2013 (Section 410) by Finance Act, 2017 (Section 172), with effect from 26-05-2017.
The Decisions of NCLAT can be challenged in the Supreme Court on the basis of law.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal was established by the government of India under the Companies Act 2013 and was constituted on 01-06-2016

The other members of the NCLAT include Dr. Ashok Kumar Mishra (Technical), Hon’ble Ms. Shreesha Merla, Member (Technical), Hon’ble Dr. Alok Srivastava, Member (Technical), Hon’ble Mr. Kanthi Narahari, Member (Technical), Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anant Bijay Singh, Member (Judicial), and Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. Venugopal, Member (Judicial).
