Then I discussed it with my father, who told me that OBD is used for its good adhesion, breathability, and washability. He also said it provides excellent matt finish at a reasonable cost.

What is the Oil Bound Distemper Paint Coverage?

Oil bound distemper is relatively less expensive compared to other kinds of paints, making it an economical and budget friendly option for homeowners who want to paint their walls without spending a lot of money.

However, one major disadvantage of OBD that I found was, it requires more maintenance than other kinds of paint. It has a shorter lifespan and thus, may require repainting every few years to maintain its appearance.
