RERA is Real Estate Regulation and Development Act which was passed in 2016. The act was brought into action to bring transparency and accountability into the real estate market. As per RERA, all the transactions between buyers and sellers of the property will be regulated to encourage fair transactions.
Objectives of RERARERA was established with a few key objectives to focus on. These objectives are:
To increased compliance and reduce frauds by the builders
To establish dispute resolution mechanisms for grievances
To reduce delays in handover.
To bring transparency and accountability towards consumers to protect their interests
To ensure smooth operations
To set up the the Appellate Tribunal to listen to appeals from the orders, decisions or directions of RERA
