The Revocation of Power of Attorney in Real Estate is a legal document used by the Power of Attorney signatory to revoke the agent's rights (Attorney-in-Fact).

Grounds for the revocation of power of attorney?

The following are the most common grounds for a Power of Attorney being revoked:

  • It is no longer necessary to have a Power of Attorney;

  • The Agent can no longer be relied upon

  • To replace the present agent, a more suitable candidate was selected

This document must be recorded with the same government office that recorded the original Power of Attorney document and then notarized in order to become valid. A notice of withdrawal of Power of Attorney should also be given to the agent.
