I have always heard that sharing any Aadhar details is not good but never had heard before about what is share code in Aadhar card. I thought it has something to do with sharing details but no. It is the 4 digit code that one provides for their offline paperless e KYC on the UIDAI website just before downloading the file.

Can the share code for Aadhar be used for downloading it?

The simple answer is yes. In fact this code is mainly used to download the Aadhar card offline.  Let me share with you how you can download it offline

  • Visit the Aadhar website or click on

https://resident.uidai.gov.in/offline-kyc

  • Enter the Aadhar number or VID

  • Enter the Security code in screen and then click on “Send OTP”

  • Enter the OTP you receive

  • Enter a share code that is going to be the password for the ZIP file

  • Click on “Download”

  • The ZIP file will get downloaded and that is all

This is a simple way to download your Aadhar card so you can try downloading it if till now you do not have any physical copy of the Aadhar card.

As long as I have understood, this share code is for security purposes and helps in downloading the Aadhar offline so must be kept or noted safely.

I hope you have got an idea on

what is share code in Aadhar and why it is used now.

Wondering what is Aadhaar share code? In essence, an Aadhar share code is a temporary, 6-digit alphanumeric number created by UIDAI that enables you to safely share information about your Aadhar card with others.

This is what an Aadhaar share code means. Before downloading the Aadhar Offline eKYC Zip File, you must fill out the four-digit Aadhar Share Code. This Zip File Share Code must be kept in mind since without it, no one will be able to access your offline KYC details in the zip file. You can think of it as a password that will allow you to open the zip file.

Hey there!

I know how important it is to have an Aadhar card as a proper identification document. When I was buying a property a few years back, I was required to provide a copy of my Aadhar card. That's when I learned about the concept of share code Aadhar.

Get your legal woes resolved by experts at NoBroker. Fill in your details to get a seamless property investment experience. What is share code for Aadhar?

Basically, Aadhar share code is a temporary 6-digit alphanumeric code generated by UIDAI that allows you to share your Aadhar card information securely with others. It's pretty cool because it can be generated only by the Aadhar cardholder and is valid for 30 minutes.

So, if you need to share your Aadhar details with someone, such as a bank or a government agency, you can generate an Aadhaar share code and give it to them instead of sharing a physical copy of your Aadhar card. This ensures that your personal information remains secure and private.

Aadhar card share code is quite useful when you need to complete your KYC process, like applying for a loan or opening a bank account. You just generate the code through the UIDAI website or the mAadhar app on your mobile phone and share it with the concerned authority. They can then use the code to access your Aadhar details online and verify your identity.

To generate an Aadhar share code, you need to visit the UIDAI website or use the mAadhar app on your mobile phone. Once you enter your Aadhar number and other details, the system will generate a share code that you can provide to the concerned authority.

I hope this answers your question about share code Aadhar.
