My brother works in an IT company in Bangalore. Considering his present salary, he has opted for a budget friendly PG in Marathahalli, Bangalore to stay. The PG cost in Bangalore, that he needs to pay is Rs. 5000 for a shared room and he had to pay Rs. 1000 deposit.

What is the Average PG Rent in Bangalore?

I learned from my brother that the average rent in Bangalore for PG depends on the type of PGs you are opting for;

Budget-Friendly PGs:

These usually cost between Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000 a month and include simple amenities like shared toilets and beds.

Mid Range PGs:

These cost between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 a month and have greater facilities like communal entertainment spaces, Wi-Fi, and attached restrooms. They are ideally situated next to IT parks or educational facilities.

Premium PGs:

These PGs are priced at Rs. 15,000 a month and up for customers looking for an upscale experience. They include luxurious facilities like air conditioning, a fitness centre, designated study spaces, and more.

I hope this helps you understand how much does PG cost in Bangalore.

How to Get a PG?

My son recently got a job in Bangalore. He was trying to find a PG. He reasoned that a PG in Bangalore makes the most sense for someone who is just starting off. The apartment is safe, there is food given, and most significantly, the single room PG in Bangalore cost won't take a significant chunk out of the starting pay.

Bangalore is a costly city, and the Bangalore PG rent reflects this. Getting a single room PG in Bangalore might cost as low as 7000 and as much as 30000, on average.

  • Rent:

When relocating to a new city, one of the largest expenses is rent. Calculating your monthly rent in advance will help you determine how much money you'll need to set aside each month. It probably isn't worthwhile to hunt for an apartment in Bangalore if your annual income is less than Rs. 30,000/- because they will be too pricey. Co-living with roommates is a great choice if you're single and living alone, provided that you can afford the PG rent. One is accessible for as low as Rs. 5,000 each month. But if you're ready to spend Rs. 10– Rs. 15K every month, you'll be fine.

  • Brokerage fees:

To pay for the expense of keeping a big brokerage staff, brokerage fees are levied. The amount varies from broker to broker and depends on your account balance and the size of the team. The brokerage charge is typically calculated depending on your monthly rent. Choose PGs through NoBroker to get over this obstacle. To avoid paying a high brokerage fee, my son chose NoBroker as well.

I hope this answer suffices your query about the single room PG in Bangalore cost. This should help you with your PG hunt according to your budget.
