Bank of India cheque bounce charges is when a cheque is returned due to insufficient funds or other reasons. I have shared the charges here with you. Cheques can be bounced due to financial, non financial, and technical reasons. 

What are the BOI Cheque Bounce Charges?

If a cheque is bounced due to insufficient funds, Bank of India levies a fee of:

  • Rs 300 up to Rs 1 lakh.

  • Rs 500 for amounts between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 cr.

  • Rs 2500 for an amount above Rs 1 cr.

  • For technical reasons, the fee charged by the bank is Rs 150 per cheque.

If the check returned unpaid, the charges are as follows:

  • For an amount up to Rs 1 lakh, it is Rs 100.

  • For an amount above Rs 1 lakh, it is 200 per instrument.
