What are the BOI Cheque Bounce Charges?
If a cheque is bounced due to insufficient funds, Bank of India levies a fee of:
Rs 300 up to Rs 1 lakh.
Rs 500 for amounts between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1 cr.
Rs 2500 for an amount above Rs 1 cr.
For technical reasons, the fee charged by the bank is Rs 150 per cheque.
If the check returned unpaid, the charges are as follows:
For an amount up to Rs 1 lakh, it is Rs 100.
For an amount above Rs 1 lakh, it is 200 per instrument.
